Subtitles - Easy way to make sure everyone who wants to use your content can
Adding them to videos is an easy way to open up your brand to many potential new customers.
Video subtitling are just one small aspect of the movement towards greater accessibility in technology, and one of the simplest fixes you can easily apply today. At Digi Media, we do subtitling for every video we post, and people who might not otherwise be able to enjoy your content can now!
We offer translation along with subtitling in more than 50 languages of the source language into the target language in the form of one or two lines of written text synchronized with the audio of the original.
Subtitling also occurs when localizing video games. The text is usually displayed at the bottom of the screen. Subtitling can also take the form of written translation of a dialog in an unfamiliar language, or a written text version of the spoken words in the same language, with or without added information to help watchers who are not able to hear or people who cannot understand the spoken dialogue.
Closed captioning (CC), which is widely known due to the popularity of Youtube, and subtitling are both processes of displaying text on a television, video screen, or other visual display to provide additional or interpretive information. Both are typically used as a transcription of the audio portion of a program as it occurs (either verbatim or in edited form), sometimes including descriptions of non-speech elements. Other uses have included providing a textual alternative language translation of a presentation’s primary audio language that is usually burned-in (or “open”) to the video and unselectable.
